The part I am concerned about is that he is vindictive during an argument. So you know? That’s good, it means that you both are on the same page on where your relationship stands. It should have been discussed instead but what done is done. It will not make the proposal any less special.

You’re over thinking it. Once you’re in the moment of getting it I’m sure you’ll still be just as excited. I had a really good hunch he was going to propose and multiple people told me they thought he was going to propose when he did. But I was still just as happy and surprised because I didn’t know exactly when/where it would happen.

I know about my engagement and my fi knee that I knew it was coming. I knew a couple days before that he was going to propose, and even wrote a thread about it on here! Lol it didn’t take anything away from my moment. Would you rather he just hand it to you or have a thoughtful loving memory? I’m sure you will love when he asks you and it will still seem just as suprising and wonderful.

b1128:  I was disappointed too myself and felt everything was pointless. I wanted the proposal to be a surprise and so did he but due to catholic concerns on his end we started planning the wedding ceremony before being engaged!!

I was so upset that everythings ruined and there’s no point and bla bla bla. Well….he totally ended up surprising me and it was amazing! No, its not ruined and the best way to go about things now? Stop thinking about it. Stop discussing it. Stop planning. Just stop and relax and be detached and take life day by day !

b1128:  Im getting married in July too and havent booked my venue yet…actually i dont think we will until January.

I know that venues book up a year in advance but when they say that theyre referring to saturdays. Fridays and Sundays are totally available in every venue ive checked for myself in July and im in a big city!

All i can say is that i tried doing the same thing but even after engagement, the decisions i wanted to make ended up changing anyway because there are so many other factors to consider. This is your engagement! its your wedding! it all works out, where theres love there is a way. Dont stress Bee, i know its easier said than done but it always works out in the end and all these thoughts are just anxieties.
