Do you tend to skip meals when you are stressed? I am the opposite. I stress eat.

@cherryblossomlove: It’s odd then that you would be losing weight.

@cherryblossomlove: Have you had your thyroid checked Sometimes it can produce too much hormones and cause your metabolism to do into overdrive. Otherwise, I would say lots of healthy protein and veggies with great fiber!

I want to gain weight too! I recently got sick for about a month. (Bad stomach problems.)

Anyways I went from 122 to 113 in a couple weeks time! :/ (Plus I have type 1 diabetes.) which causes you to loose weight. & While I was sick my sugars was a little out of control. I am feeling ALOT better now & getting my sugars back to normal. So I should put on around 5-8 pounds in the next few weeks!

My suggestion to you ladies would be to do shorter, heavier work outs and NO CARDIO! For example, when weight lifting never do more than 8 repetitions at a time. If you can do 8 easily, boost up your weight. Always eat some carbs before your work-out & protein+ a fruit immediately after.

When I started doing weight training with my varsity team I put on 15lbs of muscle my first year.

@doily: That’s what I was going to say. Check your thyroid, and if all’s good there, then see if your Dr. can give you a nutrition plan to gain weight in a healthy manner. Maybe even protein shakes for that extra punch of protein and nutrients without having to eat tons and tons.

Try lifting weights and do protein shakes.  That will help you build muscle.

you can have half my ass!

Joking aside, my partner is naturally slender. When he did MMA, to bulk up he did protein shakes, adding in a whole banana. He still has some protein powders that he adds in to smoothies. He also did weights – if he worked on his arms today, he’d not do arms tomorrow. He had a whole schedule. He said less reps of heavier is better.
