This is why I did myown flowers. It cost me 1000$ for 5 bouquests, 10 boutonnieres & about 30 centerpieces.

Can you try the DIY route? Some bees on here have made gorgeous bouquets from flowers they bought at Sam’s Club or even the grocery store. I think some spent less than $30 USD for the bride’s bouquet. With bm’s flowers, you could probably even get it for less.

You can do a ton of cute things! What is the feel of your wedding? You could have them carry cute clutches. Or if you’re having a more rustic chic wedding pinwheels or lanterns would be awesome!

Would clutches fit into your theme?

@ticatica: I ordered my flowers from theflowerexchange.com however since you’re in the UK, it might be more advantageous for you to look for bulk flower companies in europe.

All you really need is a clear vision of what you want. I did a trial run in the summer so I would know what to expect so I wasn’t too overwhelmed when my flowers arived. It’s quite a bit of work. When you receive your flowers they need to be cut & put in water until they open up. The night before your wedding you (and hopefully a team of bridesmaids) will arrange all your flowers. I strongly suggest you get floral foam & bouquet holders if you go this route. The foam keeps everything secure & will make sure your flowers last all night long.

I did 18 vases like these (caught the back of it)

13 of these flat ones (you can see the boutonnieres too!)

& here are some bouquets

£300-£400 for 4 bouquets?? That’s really exspensive! I’d say shop around for a better price, or maybe choose different (cheaper) flowers?

I paid around £300 for the bridal bouquet, 3 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 2 flowergirl bouquets, 2 mini bouquets and 5 button holes.

And we had roses and cala lilys – which are not exactly cheap flowers.

Please don’t let this price put you off ALL florists, they don’t all charge that much. Shop around, you never know!

have you considered the single bloom option?  a single calla lily with a ribbon around it can look quite stunnng- or your girls can carry parasols!

What about bunches of baby’s breath? I think it would fit into your theme nicely and it be very inexpensive.
