but I always wanted to walk down the aisle on flower petals. The problem arises that I know no small girls who can be flower girls. I will not have a ring bearer either. If I put the flowers down before the processional they will be ground into nothing before I even open the back doors.

have someone line the aisle densely with petals. they won’t all be ruined by the time you get there.

Many places put a ribbon across the back of the aisle/sides of chairs so that no one walks over them except those in the processional. Then someone just removes the ribbon right before you start!

it’s kind of a hassle but I’m in the same situation and we are unrolling the aisle runner, laying out the petals, and rolling the runner back up. So when it’s unrolled for the ceremony- presto! non-trampled flower petals! 🙂

Is it possible for the last bridesmaid to scatter the petals? It’s not traditional, but i don’t see anything wrong with that.
