My wedding was just about 3 weeks ago. My cousin/bridesmaid did my hair and I was never 100% comfortable with this but, I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. Long story short I have gotten some guest photos sent to me and a sneak peak from the photographer and I seriously want to cry. I know it’s over and nothing can be done and I know that the important thing is that I am married to the man I love but, I still can’t help but be upset knowing that I will be looking at these pictures forever. We did a trial and it went ok, I wasn’t crazy about it but, it didn’t look flat and frizzy like it does in the pictures. Like I said, I know there is not a single thing I can do about it but, it still is making me very upset. I’ll post a few pictures below.
You can see all of the frizz/fly-aways in this picture
And here you can see that one piece of hair that was in my face all night and how flat and weird my bangs looked
And I know it looks good in the picture below but you can still see that one hair that was in my face all night

your hair doesn’t look frizzy at all. The one where you’re dancing just looks like you were having a good time.
I actually like the wedding pics better than the engagement pics – your hair looked softer and easier at the wedding.

I think they look amazing. Don’t sweat it. You looked beautiful!

Oh no, sorry to hear you’re disappointed but I honestly think you look great! We are all our harshest critics. I don’t see the “flat” and “frizzy” that you are seeing at all.
I love your photos BTW!

I am so sorry that you are upset….
But I think you look stunning(and so happy!)in those photos.

Your hair definitely doesn’t look frizzy whatsoever. I can understand where you see flat compared to the trial pictures. I’m sorry that it didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to, but weather may have an impact on that. It looks like it was on a hot day and that may affected it from staying volumious. Now that being said, I think you look absolutely beautiful! No one is going to look at your pictures and say “OHMY! Her hair looks TERRIBLE!” because that’s far from the truth. So cheer up, buttercup!

PP are right, you’re always your harshest critic. I see how it’s flatter than the trial, but it doesn’t look wrong to me, just different. Your hair looked great, so don’t be upset. 🙂

I think it really does like fine. BUT, if you really really really feel so negatively towards it when you look at the pictures, why don’t you guys get dressed up again and do a small set of pictures with a different hairstyle? We’re having a destination wedding that we will not have a professional photographer at. When we get home we’re getting gussied up again and having some professional shots taken here at home. I think if you can’t live with the pictures, this is your only option.

FWIW, your hair looks fine, but I know how you feel. I hated my hair on our wedding day and every time I look at the pictures, I focus on the same thing. It just wasn’t what I wanted and I knew it.

I think your hair looks just fine! It’s got that effortless look going on!
On another note, I LOVE your coat!

@GroovyHippieChick: Thank you. I am just wishing I would have either gone with the updo or had someone else do my hair. We are our own harshest critics and I didn’t want an updo because I didn’t think my face was pretty enough to pull it off so now of course I wish I would have at least tried one. My cousin used to do hair for a living but she wasn’t really capeable of doing an updo and like I said previously, I really didn’t want to hurt her feelings and tell her I didn’t want her doing my hair. Thanks again for your positive comments 🙂
@robertsbreana: Thank you, that is very sweet of you to say. I am just very picky about my hair and make-up and I honestly think my hair would have looked better pin straight like I wear it everyday. We women just like to pick ourselves apart I guess.
@HappyToBeeMe11: I agree about being our own harshest critics and thank you for your comments. So far I only have the sneak peaks from the photographer and a few guest photos. I will admit, the ones from the photographer look better so far so maybe she did something special. Thanks again!
@MrsJoyful80: Thank you, it means a lot to hear that.
@Rouquine: It was definitely hot and humid, especially compared to the day we took the engagement photos. Just wish I would have gone with an updo and someone a little more professional. Oh well, shoulda, coulda, woulda – right? Thank you for your kind words 🙂

I’m sorry you’re upset, but I think you look great in the pictures! I don’t see flat, frizzy hair – I see a happy bride. You look beautiful. Try to see that in yourself. Try not to focus on your hair.

I agree with the PP who said your wedding day hair actually looks better than the engagement ones 🙂 your hair looks absolutely fine.
in fact, without the title, and had you asked “What’s wrong with this photo?” …. nobody would have said “hair”

@MsPoodles: Thank you. I am hoping seeing all of the professional photos will help.
@MrsPuddingface: Trust me, I already thought about it, lol! As I have said previously though, I am holding out a little bit of hope on the professional photos. It didn’t bother me as much when I saw her sneak peak photos but when this guest shared her photos with me I just wanted to cry. Thanks for your opinion and suggestion.
@2PeasinaPod: Although I am not glad you experienced the same thing I am glad I am not the only one focusing on hair, lol! It’s just so hard when you want everything to be perfect, or at least your idea of perfect.
@doxielove: Thank you! And the coat is from Macy’s 🙂
@JenGirl: Thanks so much. I was very happy, which is probably why I didn’t see the hair issues on the day of. I am going to try and not pick them apart so much, or just delete the ones I absolutely hate.

@strawbs: Thanks. I know I am just really picky/anal about every little thing and I pick myself apart horribly but, it’s a hard habit to change.
