I’m in the Christmas spirit and have been for a few days. I’ve been looking at Christmas related things on Pinterest. FI just lit my gingerbread latte candle that I bought specifically for Christmas time. It’s making it worse for me, but at least my apartment smells delicious.
I’m weird, but who’s with me?! =)

My mom was saying last night that Christmas stuff was out at Costco and I couldn’t believe it!!! I feel like it’s too early still!

@bakerella: I think that’s where I saw it too, but now I can’t remember.

My husband’s Muslim and I’m not religious so Christmas is just kind of “meh” for us, even on the commercialism aspect. His family’s in Indonesia, and my family is basically my dad and none of us ever want presents so we don’t really plan get-togethers or anything.

I’m trying to start thinking of gift ideas so I’m not stumped once November/December rolls around!

Gingerbread latte – sounds like an amazing candle 🙂 As you can tell – I am a candle freak. I love Christmas scents – but my favorite is fall scents! Give me some pumpkin smells any day for my house 🙂

Heck yes, I’m with you. I’ve been pinning Christmas things like crazy. I have started decorating our tree in my mind. I wanna buy a tree skirt I saw off of Etsy. Yep. Christmas planning starts in July. Hello, Christmas in July. Yep. 😉 I’m totally with you. My Grandma is a Christmas-aholic and I get it from her. We have a problem some may say…but clearly you wouldn’t so *high five*

IT IS AUGUST! IT IS TOO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS TALK!
That being said, I’m kind of getting pumped about Thanksgiving.

WAAAAYYY too early!! Heat index is over 100!!! I don’t get in the winter holiday* spirit until November.
*I’m not Christian, but I still enjoy all the cozy winter stuff – evergreens, baking cookies, hot chocolate, candy canes, etc.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas… but I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Thanksgiving and Halloween. My solution? I wait until the first week of advent (when Christmastime officially starts) and celebrate all the way through the New Year to Epiphany (when Christmas technically ends) That way all my holidays get their time. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people start prepping for Christmas before we get to celebrate Thanksgiving!!
As for shopping, I do a lot of it online and it’s normally practical gifts so it doesn’t really get me in the Christmas Spirit per say.

@mightywombat: Same. Im not christian but I totally get into the christmas stuff.
I love fall and winter so I am more in the spirit of Pumpkin pie, smells of cinnamon and nutmeg, fires and lights, long nights and snow:) eeek….

@mightywombat: All the more reason to think about cool weather. 😉
@Woodstock: I’m not a Thanksigiving fan. I’m also not prepping for Christmas yet. I just like the whole spirit and joy of Christmas.
@SuperDuperBrit: Ohhh. I wonder if I’m following you on Pinterest yet or not. I’ll send you my link.
