Honestly, it’s not all about weight….it’s about feeling and being healthy 🙂 I can tell you I did the Shred (and some of her other DVDs) and lost 15 pounds and a lot of inches. I wanted to loose more weight to be an ‘ideal’ weight but realzied it was more about how I felt or looked than about what the scale said. I’m back into it again and am not weighing myself this time because I got so lost in the numbers last time I would be upset I didn’t loose enough pounds even though I felt and looked amazing!

@mannellal: Hmm…that’s ood. I’d strongly reccomend the 30 day shred though! Also Jillian’s Burn Fat and Boost Metabolism DVD is all cardio and all fat burning.

I’m a bad shredder and I don’t just do the entire program (10 days at each level) because my muscles will get too sore, and I like to work multiple muscles rather than the same ones for 10 days straight (for example, I love level 1 of the Shred but it doesn’t have any tricep work, and that’s a major trouble area for me that I’m trying to tone).

I like to switch up the Jillian videos and do 30DS one day (along w/ 20-30 mins elliptical), then maybe No More Trouble Zones, then 6 week 6 pack (it’s like Shred but focuses on abs–and it’s free on Exercise TV On Demand).  Or I’ll do level 1 of the Shred one day and level 2 the next, since I’m working different muscle groups.

Also, you should try measuring yourself (bust, waist, hips) along with measuring both weight and body fat.  If you’re smaller, it doesn’t matter if you’ve lost actual “weight” because it means you’re losing fat and gaining muscle.  Looking good is all about having a healthy shape and being toned, not just your weight in lbs.

Do not give into temptation and get on scale with the 30 day shred! I’m on cycle 2 and have lost little over an inch in my waist and am getting happier and happier with how I look, but last weekend I gave in an weighed myself and I had gained weight!! like 3 pounds.. I know that’s muscle but still. Do not give in to that temptation haha No more scales for me
