I thought you meant your child! This must be very difficult. But you will have a degree to show for it! And love withstands even time and space. At least it’s a few hours and  not a country away! Hugs, though, I know it must be hard πŸ™

I thought you meant you were literally leaving your child.

Glad you’re finishing your degree, it will pay off in the long run.

@SimplyChic11: Oh, you didn’t have to change it! I just needed more coffee! How long is your semester? (It’s been so long that I’m out of school, I don’t remember anymore. 3 months?)

Aww this is hard. My best friend is doing the same thing today. After living with her Fiance all summer she now has to go two hours away back to school. She is a hot mess. But its good you guys are finishing up your degrees!! It will be worth it for your future together!! Just remember absence makes the heart grow fonder. I know way easier to say than live!! Try and have a good day!!

@SimplyChic11: *grabs a paddle* I’m in the same boat with you, my dear. I’ll live with Mr.ND next semester and just commute for the last one, but I’m a sad little mess inside without my snuggles each night. I KNOW it helps me get a lot of schoolwork and activities done in a much better manner, but it sure does suck. **hugs!**

Just try to stay busy, and text/skype/call. I LOVE skype because I can see his face every once in a while πŸ™‚

I left my man in Haiti in July. We’ll be apart for 5 months before we see each other again. The first month was easier than I anticipated. I didn’t cry myself to sleep nearly as often as I imagined I would.

I find that the days I get to chat with him for hours on Skype are both the best and worst days as far as missing him goes. It’s awesome to see his face and talk to him and hear about what’s happening while I’m gone, but right after we finish talking I get really sad. Being busy also helps keep the blues away–you should have no problems with that since you’ll be finishing up school.

I just wanted to say I am sorry that it is so rough. You are a brave woman!

It will get easier πŸ™‚ Keep in touch and keep busy the days will fly by! He will eventually be moving closer to you, correct?

It definitely does get easier.  And makes the times you do get to see him all that more wonderful!  (personal experience, I’m not just saying crap to make you feel better)

It does get better. We always sleep crappily on Sunday nights when we’ve spent a weekend together, but it goes away as the week goes on.

Plus, when school gets crazy, it’s kind of nice to be able to come home and do my own thing and study and just have me time to spend studying as I want. Law school finals are ridiculous and last two weeks, and he knows that we get about 20 minutes a day to visit on the phone and that’s it. It’s sucky, but once you’re back together it’s great again!
