For me, the cake is the naughty part.  Damn I miss eating a good dessert when dieting.  I’ll prob dive head first into our cake after our wedding!

I’d like to see a budoir shoot of desserts.  That’s hardcore to me!  Just lots of cakes and cupcakes.  And maybe some of the lavender glelato I found a few days ago.

But this is a very very elegant shoot.  I like how it’s a party for two.  She should give this to the groom or have a groomsman give it to him to see and ponder about right before they go down the aisle!  That’s def food for thought!

…but it’s not sexy to a man.  Sorry!    Yes, it’s gorgeous, and very well done technically. Excellent photography, etc.    But to give that as a gift to a man, in most cases would not quite make him say “ohhhh la la!!”   More likely he would say “how beautiful”.    Nothing wrong with that response!   I’m just making a point, for whatever it’s worth.   : )

I see so many boudoir shoots that are just not …sensual.  Isn’t that the point?  Don’t hate me, I’m just asking.

I’m not really a fan of the fact that she’s not smiling or winking or anything. I’d prefer photos that show a bit more emotion.

Well, technically, smiling isn’t really the thing for boudoir photography.  Maybe on 5% of the photos you may want to get a smile, for a playful look, but generally, sensual eyes work.  Sensual poses.  No need for any nudity even, just sensuality.

My point was that she’s not looking sexy. Just pretty.  For sensual, sexy photos, the subject really needs to stare into the lens in most shots, with an appropriate “come n get me” look on her face.   If the photos are just “fun”, that will dissapoint a man. If they are just “beautiful, then same thing.  We want sensual!   Sexy!  Be sexy in your boudoir photos.  Do it for your man   ; )

lol @Tikki…

That is kind of how I thought budoir photos would look, not like the link although those are gorgeous, it just seemed more like a staged “getting dressed” shoot…I always imagined budoir photography would be naughty lingerie, teasing with a bit of nudity, not exactly playboy but something like those out of focus rolling in the sheets shots they show in Cosmo or Vogue…

agree 100% with Tikki.. these look like shots for a women’s mag. i mean, when it comes down to it, a boudoir shoot is more for the woman than for the man (if we’re being honest with ourselves)–but i personally prefer the sexy, mysterious look to something like this

I love the pink, especially the invitations! But those pictures are very classy. ๐Ÿ™‚
