not sure if you read my post when I lost 35lbs 😀 but I just recently hit 50lbs (ok, 49.6..same thing right? :D)
I still have 15 more lbs til I reach my goal but I am so thankful that I am where I am right now 😀
How I lost the weight:
Diet: most important thing! I realized that working out wasnt a ticket to eating a pint of ice cream every night. I needed to change my diet. I got some antibody testing done and found that I have issues digesting eggs, wheat, dairy and soy. So, I removed those items from my diet. I went from being a vegetarian to eating paleo. I did paleo for several months (getting stricter as I got more used to it) and then did my first whole 30 in January 2013. Most important thing: this is not a temporary diet, this is how I will eat for the rest of my life!
Exercise: I took a break from exercise for a while. this is because I got fat by exercising like a maniac adn eating like a cow. so, in order to focus on my diet I needed to clear my head of exercise. now, I still worked out but really only for heart and mental health. I did yoga and a little cardio, etc. After I felt confident of my diet, I was finally able to get back into exercise. I first started takinga few circuit training classes iwth my friend at the gym, went to the free yoga classes at work. Just a few weeks ago I started jogging again 😀 and have been doing JM 30DS a few times a week.
sure, I have a “goal” weight. but, honestly, it doesnt matter that much anymore. I am eating healthy and exercising, I will stop lossing weight once my body is where it should be 😀
Also, I use MFP, (username: daniellealys) I try to keep my calories under 1600 daily, I use TDEE, and i never eat back my exercise calories. although, if I am hungry, I listen to my body and eat more. if i am not that hungry that day, I dont eat as much. i listen to my body! I recently started introducing IF (intermittent fasting), I do 16-8 and I love it! I eat for 8 hours of the day and fast the other 16. I dont do it every day but when I do I love it and it makes me feel great!
