Congrats! First weeks always seem to be good losses as your body stops holding onto as much water!

Just remember to not be disheartened if you don’t see a big number next week, as you won’t be losing as much water weight. From here on out you are attacking the fat, so keep on it!

SandyBee23:  Same as me! I’ve gradually put on two stone (28 pounds) over the five years I’ve been with my Fiance, and with my wedding coming up in August I want to look how I did when we first met. It doesn’t help that I’m a shortie at 5’3 so a higher weight just makes me look like a dumpling. I can sort of carry it better as I have a larger frame, but I’ve decided enough is enough.

I have about 23 pounds to go until I am at my original weight, and I hope to reach that by early June, before my first fitting. If I can lose more than that is a bonus as I have never been skinny enough to feel comfortable in a bikini! My parents have paid for an all-inclusive honeymoon to Bali so I want to be able to flaunt something! Especially as I’ve never been able to flaunt anything before 🙂

SandyBee23:  A fellow shortie! It’s so annoying to make a large calorie deficit when you are shorter because our bodies need less fuel compared to a taller person. Then again, a taller person didn’t make me eat all those caramel shortbreads!

Diet is pretty key since to lose weight you need a calorie deficit. You could lost weight on diet alone. They say dieting is for weight loss, exercise is for health and fitness.

It becomes addictive when you start to lose the weight since it is so satisfying to see the scale go down. I never took measurements at ny biggest which I regret, since I know I’m losing inches but I don’t know how many! As long as I look the bomb at the end, I don’t mind not knowing the specifics 😉

SandyBee23:  congrats! that’s a wonderful start!

I would keep some healthy sweet snacks (maybe portioned out in little ziplocks so you can’t cheat!) around the house, so the cookies are less tempting in the future. almonds, whipped yogurt, and chocolate covered acai berried are my favorites!
