How about somewhere you wouldn’t normally take it off? I would expect to take my ring off in the kitchen or before going to bed – was there something unusual you might have done that day that would have prompted you to take off your ring? Like worn gloves, cleaned something that would have prompted you to remove your ring, etc.?

This is one of my biggest fears since I have the bad habit of taking my rings off for washing my hands, puting on lotion, washing dishes, etc etc etc… I really hope you find it soon!! you could pray to Saint Anthony of Padua, Patron Saint for lost articles, just in case!!

I agree with getting someone else to have a look – especially your mum (or anyone’s mum).

whenever anyone in my family loses something my mum always says ‘you stay here, I’ll have a good mum-look’ … and she ALWAYS finds it!

also ive had these situations where things just disappear and you know that it was right there. I always end up finding things by looking at the room from a different angle… not actively searching for things, just standing somewhere different than usual or at a different level and looking around the room. so try these – lie on the floor in different parts of the room, sit on the floor in each corner, bring in a chair and stand on that in a few different places, lie on the bed ‘upside down’ (feet on the pillow, head at the end), sit in your wardrobe if that’s possible… think like a kid and get into as many weird places as you can! it almost always works for me (and if it doesn’t, I ask my mum).

@marytinoco:  Prayers are going out! It’s awful to lose something that precious. Glad there doesn’t seem to be any blame being passed around, which can be easy to have happen. Prayers and luck your way!

I am sorry it happened to you..:(

Are you and your Fiance sleep together every night? Maybe you gave him the ring to put on the dresser other nights….but the night you lost your ring, you didn’t…? And now you both truly believe that it happened..while it really didn’t..and it is somewhere else…

think about all situations when you take your ring off…? shower? cooking? etc.

and finally…you never responded about the possibility of your sisters taking the ring…maybe they are jelous of you being engaged and did it? or maybe they had friends in..who took it?

i also believe in praying to saint Anthony. My fi thinks its funny but I swear everytime I’ve lost something and looked everywhere for it and couldn’t find it, I prayed to Saint Anthony and guess what, I found it.

I truly hope all will turn out well for you. I will say a prayer you for you tonight and pleassssssssssssssssssssssssse let us know if you found your ring.

I know the feeling! My grandmother gave me a pair or earrings that meant a lot to me because she is very old now and it’s all I have of her since she lives in another country. I would take them off every night and put them by my window right next to my bed. I have done that for many many years. One morning when I reached for them, there was only one earring. I lived alone, in a tiny 1-bedroom apartment. Most confusing and sad feeling. I really hope you find it. Please keep us updated.
