Oh no! But I am right in thinking you didn’t leave the house? If you didn’t – it’s ok, it’ll be somewhere! My advice is to look for it calmly and *systematically*.

If your mum cleaned up the towels afterwards check the laundry!

1bubble1 :  Oh no! How terrible. Deep breaths. It will be somewhere in the house. Check the laundry as it may have gotten tangled up in the towels. Also…. sounds mad, but stop looking for a bit. Not the same but I once lost my keys, which meant I was locked inside my house. I knew they would be in the house. I tore the place apart, nothing. I then sat down on my bed defeated and after a few minutes decided to look under the bed. There they were. They were there all along, in plain sight but in my panic I had missed them the first few times. I know it sounds daft but it may help. Good luck.

Fussy baby and lost rings…what a stressful time.

Assuming you don’t have a pet or person that would helpfully move/put away the rings…The good news is that the ring is in the house! But, they are sneaky and can fall into amazingly odd and small places. Prongs can catch and hang the ring from anything (drapes, pillows, chairs).

Assume the ring could travel in a 12-15′ radius from where you set them down. When your mom was cleaning, she could have flung the ring into someplace. Assuming she did not hear anything, it may have ended up somewhere soft (rather than hitting a wall or hard object). Systematically, remove and feel every object. Use your hands and eyes. Look under any area rugs, beds, in beds and bedding and the laundry mentioned by PP. Use a flashlight to help catch the sparkle and focus your looking. It really helps.

The rings are there!

I would check the mattress, under the bed, down the sides of the mattress etc.

Then, I would check the laundry hamper or the washing machine if the load has already been done.

I’m sure it’s just bundled up with the sheets, you’ll find it 🙂

Do check the bins before they go out though, I accidentally threw away a pair of earrings when they got knocked into the bin!

Ummm…. I think I saw this episode of Bones, check the baby! Jk, I hope. I agree that you should move slowly thru everything, it has to be there. Goodluck!

Things can roll beyond belief, check all around the floor, backs of radiators, under furniture, in the bed frame. It could have flown if your mum shook the the bed cover or flicked a towel as she scooped it up. If it was bundled in a scooped towel, it could be anywhere along the same route the towel has followed.  It is there somewhere.

Be methodical, use a torch to help catch “glints” get your mum to check pockets, waistbands and hoods on her clothes. Get someone else to recheck the places you have searched and vice versa, it’s amazing how a different pair of eyes will spot something you swear you went over with a fine tooth comb.

When you have found it, have a ring tree or dish in reach of every location you might remove your ring (for me near kitchen and en-suite bathroom sinks) and only ever put your ring in there.

You will find it!

Everything everyone else said plus check inside of any shoes nearby and the bottom of you and your Mom’s shoe. Baseboards and corners, too. You will find it

My mom found her ring once by putting a nylon stocking over her vacuume cleaner hose and vacuuming EVERYTHING! Check the trap in your washer, take every blanket off the bed, pull the mattress off the bed and look at every single seam….

I REALLY hope you find it!

As long as the ring is somewhere in the house you have a good chance of finding it. I would also check the trash… would be a shame if someone accidentaly threw it away.

As long as you KNOW that you took it off after the bath (so it didnt go down the drain), you are fine!!

Its probably on the floor behind some furniture. Do you have carpet? If your mom carried it in a pile of towels and it fell, it wouldnt have made a noise when it hit the ground and could have bounced under some furniture.

Maybe the spot between the mattress and bed frame?

Scower the floor all along where your mom walked once she cleaned up the lotion and towels. Also in the laundry basket and inside all of the clothes that are in it.

You know it’s in the house. The best thing to do is probably stop looking for today. I’m sure youre so tired from the sick baby and not thinking straight. You WILL find it! Maybe just not today.
