I know it’s not the same, but when I was in the hospital having our middle child, we were (of course) taking tons of pics. Me in labor, when he first came out, later in our room with him bundled up. Then we got some visitors and my meal tray was taken from the room…with my camera on it. About 30 minutes later when I realized the camera was gone, I made calls to the nurses station, the cafeteria, even the hospital security. My camera never turned up. I lost all the pictures of my newborn son. It was absolutely heartbreaking, I was a wreck. It took me awhile to realize that I would rather have my healthy baby than just his pics. I’m glad you have a good attitude about it! It’s so easy to get caught up in what we lost, so don’t forget what you have!! 🙂

Call me crazy, but I think its exciting to get new rings, especially since you have determined every ring will be a symbol of your husbands love and marriage to you, not just that exact one! Can’t wait to see pics of your new rings and ideas on what you want, while we wait for you original ones to show up 😉

@DeadUtopia: Aw! That is VERY important! I can understand why you was so upset! I would have cried my eyes out! BUT Like you said, you got your healthy baby & that is what matters! 🙂
My husband already ordered me a ring! Just in case because he is just the most amazing man ever. 🙂 He found a good deal for one on ebay otherwise we couldn’t afford one at all due to Christmas spendings! I wasn’t going to tell the bees until it came in the mail IF my rings hadn’t shown up by then. But I love you gals so I figured why not go ahead and share with them.
My poor rings feel cheated on though I am sure. 🙁
