If sex weren’t marvellous then the creator would have stuffed up because then there wouldn’t be any new humans. I don’t believe in any god who would want us to punish ourselves. So long as you’re not hurting others then you should live your life as you see fit. Please don’t feel badly about a natural urge which has been bestowed upon most of us.

OP, please remember the Bible was written in a day and age when people were getting married at ages 11-17. I think the spiritual aspects are 100% relelvent for today and can transcend time. But I think a lot of the “practical” advice is outdated. Remember that a lot of the Bible also is compromised of private letters people sent to each other regarding how to advise their ancient church congregations – very, very specific to that location, that culture, and that time. It was never meant for everyone around the world throughout the entire of history.
I really, truly, deep in my heart think that God simply wants us to make sure we are practicing safe sex and have love in hearts. I do not think it is a sin to simply engage in sex outside of marriage. Remember the Bible itself says, “Love multiplies, it does not divide.”
I don’t know if any of this will mean anything to you, but it is a perspective I believe, and maybe it is something for you to think about.
