jaqawilliams :  Oh NO!! I’m so sorry for you. Are you hoping for something similar (halo) or wanting to go in a different direction? Here are a few inspirations…

Danhov Setting (Classico) with custom petal head (DavidKlass made a similar ring and you’d likely need to go custom with an oval)

This Ritanit three stone is lovely. You didn’t mention budget, but the setting is about $2100

Classic Baguette side stones.

Maevona Fern {maevona will make the settings work with most shapes. These are very delicate when you see them in person. The photos make them look much chuckier than in reality!}

That’s so sad!!! I was stuck between oval and cushion but I’m so happy I went with oval. Could you post pictures of your old set so we can get an idea of your style?

This is my non-diamond ring, by David Klass (he will set your diamond for free in the custom setting he makes).

Here’s some other bee’s ovals I’ve been totally obsessed with:

This is my oval moissanite in rose gold with some pave stones.

I do also love Maevona, as a previous bee mentioned. I tried to get our local jeweler to recreate the poppy ring for an oval, but I wasn’t crazy about the cads they sent us.

happy hunting!

jaqawilliams :  By “exciting”, I’ll take that as a PITA given your stress with the replacement. Have you decided on a budget for the setting?

My only fear of a similar halo is that you’ll spend all yoru time comparing them and not just loving the new ring for its own beauty. If you want another halo, I’d make sure to have elementst that set is apart (three stone, colored stones, petal/floral halo). Make this ring distinct.

IvyRoseVintage on Etsy (MyDiamondZone on Ebay). They can customize and I’m pretty sure they can make this in an oval.
