While I love my ring and wouldn’t trade it for the world, there are times I’ll dreamily look at other rings. lol  So, you’re not alone 🙂

First of all, your feelings are natural. So much pressure is put on the engagement ring that it often leaves us ladies hoping our ring lives up to what an e-ring is “supposed” to be.

But all of that pressure is totally unnecessary. Your engagement ring is special and unique because your Fiance gave it to YOU. Your ring is as unique as your love.

Also, can you talk to the jeweler about a wedding band? We had my wedding band custom-made to go with my engagement ring (sounds expensive, but it wasn’t). That way you can be sure it “works” together. 🙂

Your ring sounds gorgeous, I really want a picture!  Can you post one?  Maybe we can help you search for a good band.

I oggle all kinds of pretty things. I just like jewelry =]. And i remember going through an “Ugh why did i pick this!” phase with my engagement ring when I couldn’t find a wedding band to save my life that looked good with it. I looked for months. I ended up picking one out about 2 weeks before the wedding and picking it up the day berfore! Oye vez. I ended up with two prong shared bands on either side. Sometimes you have to try on very random stuff that you don’t think will look good in order to find something that does! My wedding bands have round diamonds in them and there is not ONE round diamond stone in my engagement ring. Go figure.

You’re not alone.  I love my ring and am actually thankful that my Fiance picked it out all on his own.  I am not used to “nice” jewelry and would have been blown away by all of the possibilities.  It’s a ring that you’re going to wear for the rest of your life it’s normal to second guess.  By the way it sounds very original so don’t worry about others having YOUR ring.

Oh I love your ring! I haven’t seen that style much before…it’s beautiful.  I wouldn’t be very concerned about a band, you will be able to custom make one perfectly.  Here are crappy cell photos of my e-ring and band that we had custom made to fit.  The match is identical.

I don’t think it will be hard to find a band that matches that ring, when you said split shank, I thought it would have a bigger curve to it.  Just remember that a lot of people can’t afford to have custom made rings but that doesn’t make your ring less special!

My custom band was not more expensive than the other pave bands out there on display.

Also consider that you don’t need a wedding band you can just transition your engagement ring into your wedding ring.  I think your ring looks very nice as is and doesn’t need a bank, though you can certainly custom make one if you want one.  A third option is to get a band that doesn’t fit with the ering and transfer the ering to the right hand (what I’m probably doing).

My wedding band and ring will definitely have a gap, and it doesn’t bug me.  I think your ring would look great with either a custom made band, such as VirginiaMarie suggested, or just a plain gold band, or a simple pave band.

But second thoughts?  Normal!  I LOVE my ring, but there are so many other designs out there, you can’t help but wonder, you know?

Your ring is beautiful!  If you can’t find a band you love, have one custom made.
