First let me say that I am almost 6 feet tall (5’11) and I’m a size 16. I’m a DDD. I love myself. My SO loves me and I have never felt pressured to lose weight.
I joined weight watches last week and have lost 2 pounds this week!
Some people think I’m doing it for the wedding, but that’s only one of the MANY reasons.
- I refuse to buy new clothes that are a size bigger than I am at right now. I only want to go down!
- I love Lane Bryant, but damn the clothes are expensive and really not my taste.
- My boobs are giving me back problems ladies! I don’t know why women opt for bigger implants! If they only knew the trouble these puppies give us in the long run! If I lose weight, HOPEFULLY my bust size will go down.
- now for the shallow part-I want to order a dress size 12-14.
- I don’t want to have to pay extra for larger sizes.
- I don’t want to look back at photos years from now and question myself on why I didn’t lose weight.
So, there it is. I love myself right now and I’m confident enough to say so, but now I want change and I will be happy either way! So here is a thread to show off ourselves and say something nice about ourselves.
Nice thing to say about myself-I have awesome effing boobs! Oh and this dress makes my legs look even longer than they already are!

good for you! i know a lot of people have had great success with ww!

Sounds like you are doing it for all of the right reasons. Reasons that will help with “forever” not just the next year. I have stuggled with my weight most of my life. I did WW a few years ago. It was great! But….then I gained the weight back. I have recently lost 25 lbs by trying to just add more exercise and make better food choices. I use the Lose It! app on my iPhone. It helps that my fiance’ is super supportive too!
I wish you the best of luck!!!
My nice thing for me…no matter how my weight has fluctuated, I always love my legs!

You are rocking that dress! And good for you with getting motivated to change your lifestyle/eating habits for good reasons.

Good luck! You look smashing in that dress, and I love the idea of a positive body image thread.

You have a cute shape! I wish I was that tall. Spreads everything out.LOL I’m a 20 now since I’ve not worked out, but I want to get back to a 14. It’s like my favorite size!
Good luck on your weight loss!

@MsMamaBear: lol it does spread everything out because when I tell people what I weigh I get O_O looks. lol
I weighed my boobs one day because I was bored >_> and my right one weighs 11.5 pounds and my left one was at 10.9 pounds. ha ha ha. So I tell people that 22 pounds of my weight is sitting in my bra.

awww you do look slammin in that dress! damn girl!!! 🙂 i am also a size 16 (but much shorter at 5’6), and i am a D cup right now (they are so annoying! i wish i was a small C to be honest)… i have so far lost 30 lbs doing weight watchers and zumba! so you can sooo do it! i ordered my dress in a 16 just because im scared i wont be able to lose the 3 inches around my hips to make it to a 14 by may (but they didnt charge more until size 18 so i lucked out!) good luck with your weight loss! and you are doing it for all the right reasons!!!
ps…. i wonder how much my boobs weigh? lol

Miss Tattoo, you are gorgeous!
I’m also a WWer and have struggled with my self-image my whole life, so your confidence in your post made me happy and proud myself. I’m a similar shape as you…only like, a foot shorter! I think your attitude is healthy and will help you a lot along the way.

I think we all need a boost every once in a while! I had to really love myself first before getting on the path to change it. I focused too much on what I didn’t like and it never end up working. Now that I changed my outlook, I think it’s going to be better and less frustrating.
I also have to remember that I’m not going to lose 50 pounds in a month. That use to be my biggest downfall. I wanted instant results and I wanted big numbers every week like in The Biggest Loser.

@Miss Tattoo: I came to the same realization. The nice thing that I realized is that you have to go slow, but time is on your side. Doesn’t matter how long it takes; you’ll still get there 🙂
