SO Mr. Baldwin and I have not done our engagement shoot yet. Not scheduled until next month, but I really wanted to get my Save the Dates out to everyone. So, my creative juices started to flow. I decided on caricatures, but I did not want the ones that makes you look funny with a massive dome and teeny body. I searched on Etsy and found a designer who used a photo of us and hand drew our heads on the body. I must say, I love so far. There are some minor things I am going to have changed, but for the most part it’s beautiful. I have a before photo and after photo after the use of Paint and a Vista Print layout (colors are rose pink and mint). Let me know your honest opinion.
Also, do I need to put my wedding website on my STD or can I wait when I send out invites?

Aww, it’s SO cute! SERIOUSLY cute!
I’d add a link to the wedding site for the curious-minded, but I don’t think it’s a necessity.

I like the caricature a lot, but the mint background unfortunately did not come across very smooth. You can see the rough edges between the original drawing and the mint part.
Is there a way to just go with the white background and do the ‘Save The Date’ words in mint with like a drop shadow or something so that it stands out even over the white? Save the Date should also be centre aligned, it looks like it’s too far left.
Because you already have pink incorporated (and if you went with the cleaner looking white background), I would recommend black text as it will print better (more readable) and you could leave the ampersand mint.
Maybe make ‘Lawrenceville, Georgia’ smaller so that it doesn’t touch your bodies and same with ‘formal invitation to follow’.
If you want any help, let me know. These are quick changes with Photoshop!

I love it!
I put my website on our STD and a ton of guests have checked it out already. I’m putting it on the invite too.

@atoney86: Cute! We had our wedding website info on our save the dates and also have them on our wedding invites (sending out in a few weeks)

I love these! Really cute.

It’s cute! However, it is hard for me to read almost all of the wording. I put our website on our Save-The-Date Cards so people could start planning if they wanted too.

@crystalrae: Thanks for your honest opinion. This isn’t the finished product. I used Paint to add the mint back ground and aware its not smooth, I planned on perfecting it. Also, I would have to check with with Vista Print to see if they are able to center the “Save the Date” ans possibly make it mint so that everything blends. I thought about black text but was not sure. I will contact Vista Print tomorrow to see if they are able to change anything. I suck at photoshop, any help/advice is helpful and I grateful.
Thanks everyone as well for the positive/helpful comments!!!

Hey there! I do like the mint but the lines are a little choppy. It can definitely be improved.
Here are some ideas for you (sorry I don’t have the same fonts). I was working off a low resolution copy though so if you’d like some additional help you can always e-mail me the high resolution one! With VistaPrint, usually you can upload a completed version as well, FYI.
This version the line between the heart and the mint is a lot cleaner, but it could be even more improved on a high res version.

The white background is much easier to read. Super cute!

WOW!!! I absolutely LOVE the changes. They are sending me the high resolution version between today and tomorrow.
Thank you SO (x a million) very much!!!!
