Sooo pretty! How are you doing your hair? What type of veil are you looking for?

If you find something that looks that flattering on you sometimes you just have to accept the price tag…it’s your one big day!

I sooo have a thing against davids bridal,  maybe its just in my state, but after going into my 3rd one and dealing with yet another rude person i couldnt take it!

I found my new Maggie Sottero dress for 935 its important to shop around if your on a budget, i was originally quoted 1600 for it

Gorgeous dress, I love the lace!

I initially spent $260 on a dress, which was well below my budget of $500 (I had alterations and accessories in another budget category).  However, I decided to follow my heart and look for a new dress and found one!  Still need to order, but it should be about $600.  Combining the costs of both dresses, I’m overbudget Undecided

I’m guessing alterations will be between $175 and $200, plus veil, shoes, and jewelry.  I’m still in shock about how expensive even plain veils are!

That dress looks great on you! It’s perfect for your body! Totally worth the extra $$ and a great deal off the orginal price.

I got my dress from davids bridal too. An oleg cassini. Orginially 1050.00 but I got it for 249.00!! davids bridal has great deals!

I spent a little over $1000 for a custom made Casablanca wedding dress with $100 for boning and a bustle.

wow, that dress is so great on you! and a great deal, I think. Mine was full price and just over $1,000 – my budget was $1,000 so alterations will put me over that, but that’s okay ’cause I love it!

My budget was $1000 for everything clothing related, but luckily I just found my dress for $350 (posted about it in another post) and I think alterations might be another 100. I’m really happy with how it turned out!

Also, I would do what other posters suggested and put an ad on here and on craigslist. Have you also looked at preownedweddingdresses.com? They have an accessories section I think…

I’m on a 2k budget but w/a little wiggle room.  I’d spend more on it but we’re paying for everything ourselves so I can’t go the 5k route like I’d like to.

We’ll see what I come up with.  I love to negotiate and will be armed to the teeth with two master negotiators with me when I go! (sis and bff).  It’s my goal to get something out of my range INTO my range!

We shall see.  It’s gonna be fun when i start in a few months!

@Bellenga, I totally agree with you. The first dress that I “thought” was the one (definitely not) we negotiated down by two hundred and it was only a $1000 dress. Negotiation is AWESOME!

My dress was $690.  Very reasonable I think but I am really worries about how much alterations will cost.

I’m spending no more than $190 on my dress – but it’s not a designer piece with all the trimmings, it’s something I want – more of a prom/bridesmaid dress 🙂 I’m planning on splashing a bit on accessories.

Everyone has wonderful dresses!

You look gorgeous in the dress!  I budgeted about 2500 and ended up spening just under $2000.  There was a discount, but by the time the cost for extra length (I’m only 5’8″) the discount was gone, but then again, I guess I got the extra length for free!

It’s so pretty on you!  Mermaid dresses can be hard to pull off.

My budget was $1k, and the original Jasmine dress was less than that.  However, my custom alteration request (changed the top and made the skirt fuller) drove it over that mark.  Lucky I am using my mom’s veil and the shop is cleaning it for free.

I also shattered my shoe budget to bits.  oops.
