I guess i must be really really cheap or something

I went into this wedding dress thing knowing that it is a one day dress so our budget was around $200.00.  Just hearing people budgeting thousands for a dress and then even spending more…i guess it makes me think of how they could be saving money for other things.    I ended up getting a dress that was origonally $2,200.00 and with the sale I paid $500.00 Pronovious at a bridal shop near me.  i went $300 over budget. It is going to cost $100.00 for alterations.

I bought a full davids bridal slip on ebay New for $35.00 with shipping and handling Orig. price $79.99 plus shipping.  I bought a davids bridal veil Orig. price @ $199.00 plus $6.95 shipping…on ebay for $45.00 New with shipping and handling.  My dyable shoes I bought at a bridal shop near me Orig. $84.99 on sale for $18.00.  I bought the davids bridal flowers with crystals hair pieces Or.  $49.99 plus $6.95 shipping, I got them on ebay for $25.00 with shipping and handling.

I LIKE EBAY LOL.  I even bought my bridesmaid dresses on there.  3 Davids bridal dresses Orig. $155.00 each… 2 of them are new with tags and one is in really good used condition.  I got all 3 for $135.00 including shipping.  For my wedding attire I will in the end of paid. $600.00 for the dress and alterations and $103.00 for almost all of my accessories ๐Ÿ™‚

that is my savings story ๐Ÿ™‚

That dress is so worth going over your budget. You look stunning! I am sure you can pinch and save some money in other areas of the wedding spending to make up for it.

I didn’t have a set budget. Since I was looking for a destination wedding dress without beading or a lot of decoration, nothing was too over the top. Only one dress I looked at was over 3,000, and I quickly realized it was too delicate to travel well.

My dress ended up being $2100 plus tax and alterations.

My budget was originally $800, but my FMIL offered to buy the dress I fell in love with and spent $2700 Surprised  A family friend is doing my alterations so no extra cost there.

Wow girl, that dress is stunning on you!! My original budget was $1000 for everything, and my dress ended up being right at $1700 with tax and shipping! :/ That does not include veil, jewelry, shoes or alterations- eek! But I can say without a doubt that it is THE dress, so it’s worth it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Which veil are you looking for to wear with the dress? I ordered this dress and just picked it up yesterday, I’m planning to do the new royal wedding inspired veil they have at DB with this dress.
