I think maybe if your diamond was set lower into the halo, it wouldn’t let the light in as much? Diamonds are also lit from the side of the ring. I went from a halo (set similar to yours, height wise) to a n open setting without a hlo (missing my halo..) but I was shocked by how much brighter my iamond appears just from light being able to enter from the sides. So, while the diamond may look nicer set lower into the halo, just know that it will be less bright. But do wht you want! i think your ring is gorgeous as is, and the earrings are pretty set low like that as well! Totally your call, I think theyre both gorgeous either way πŸ™‚

I have to totally disagree. I love the way your stone is set! OK maybe it could’ve been set a smidge lower but definitely not as low as your earrings. You can’t appreciate a diamond if all you can see is the top of it!

I actually like the way your e-ring is set far better than the earrings! Your diamond seems to sparkle a lot more! I’m sorry, I’m no help, but I couldn’t help but tell you.

Beautiful ring, btw πŸ™‚

I love when diamonds are set up more from the halo, but I may be biased because that’s what I did!  Mine came in set very low and I had them raise it.  THe diamond didn’t sparkle as much and the halo took away from and hid the stone instead of highlighting it.  It’s an easy fix to make though, so if you prefer it lower have them do it!

I won’t lie–I prefer stones in halos to be set as close to flush as possible with the halo. So I agree I would have it set a bit lower, but your ring is gorgeous as is and that’s really a small change!

@luckylady3090:  I wanted to add that I barely even notice the prongs on your ring.. If you want them changed, go for it! But they arent obvious or overpowering at all IMO!

@luckylady3090:  I think your ring is beautiful and you can’t really compare it with the earrings. Naturally the earrings will be set lower since they don’t have to be mounted in a setting and the craftsmanship will differ regarding the diamond in your ring. These are TJ Maxx earrings! You can’t compare the two! πŸ™‚

Your center looks bigger AND reflects more light when it’s higher-set like that! I wouldn’t change it!

@luckylady3090:  I think your ring is fine. I think you may be noticing the difference based on the difference in color. The earrings being cz appear much whiter than the moissanite jewel in your ering in that lighting.  The eye sees whiter as brighter and larger.

I love the style of your halo, love the plain sides. Thnk lowering the halo will detract from your ring. I think the prongs are fine as well. Just my opinion.
