It’s not that I don’t like my tattoos either, I like each and every one of them. But in my case, half of it is in the dress, half of it is not, and I just think that it is going to take away from everything being so darkly colored and contrasted with an Ivory dress.

Oh, and my 64 year old father will probably have a coronary if he found out I was letting it out for all the world to see…because he’s old school and PA Dutch and these sorts of things are SO not ok with him. Even though he knows I have them, he hates to look at them.

Maybe you could change the back of your gown to go just a little higher. Seems like a staight back with no v-dip would provide the perfect amount of coverage.

1. The back of your dress is gorgeous, absolutley love the detail!

2. I think it’s mysterious and unique how your tattoo is peeking out just a little, it’s a part of you and adds to your individuality! I wouldn’t cover it up if I were you 🙂

I also have a little french saying tattoo’ed in cursive on my neck that I got while living in Paris, I’ve decided on covering it for my wedding, I think it’s a part of me and my character 🙂

I have no issue with how your tattoo looks peeking out – like others have said, it’s a part of you and it looks totally fine, IMO.
It’s up to you if you want to cover it due to concern about conservative guests, but this is your day and I would hope that your nearest and dearest are there to support you, not judge you.

This is your day – I say do what makes you feel the most ‘you’.
