I’m going with the cliched if you love them it shouldn’t matter what we all think! However, I do agree with PP that all I see is “I LOVE YOUR FEET.”

I was curious about this poem and looked it up online to find the full version. I understand you’re only using the last part of the poem but the “doubled purple of your nipples” line made me giggle and I would LOVE if that line was printed on the coasters. I’d take ’em all in a heartbeat. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Your Feet

When I cannot look at your face
I look at your feet.
Your feet of arched bone,
your hard little feet.
I know that they support you,
and that your sweet weight
rises upon them.
Your waist and your breasts,
the doubled purple
of your nipples,
the sockets of your eyes
that have just flown away,
your wide fruit mouth,
your red tresses,
my little tower.
But I love your feet
only because they walked
upon the earth and upon
the wind and upon the waters,
until they found me.

They’re cute, but I don’t use items emblazoned with my own monogram and/or date, so I probably wouldn’t use one from somebody else.

I think the quote is nice, but I would probably never use these. They would likely end up in a drawer. Also, if they’re cardboard/paper I would never use them — they leave soggy rings.

@SarahCF:  My Fiance and I are actually in the camp of “The more coasters the merrier!” so while there is some info on these we would probably use them whenever we had enough guests over that our normal set didn’t suffice! There are a nice conversation piece of “whos this for?” “Oh my friend/sister/cousin got married!” So while we wouldn’t keep them out all of the time it is nice to have some extras for entertaining

We need coasters so I would take a couple since I’m sure others would leave them. But I’d probably flip them over and use the blank side for our coasters at home. If we didn’t actually legit need coasters right now, I’d probably leave them there.

They might be very “you” as a couple but supposedly the favors are actually FOR the guests. I think favors are a waste in general but if a couple is going to do them, I think doing something that the guest actually would want and/or would benefit the guest would be a good favor.

TBH unless it’s like, mini wine bottles or edible favors or…geez, I don’t even know another example…those are the only kind I’d get excited about as a guest.

@SeaSalt:  That is a very good suggestion

@SarahCF:  Op cardboard coasters are not going to last very long. One sweaty drink and it will get soggy and end up in the bin. If you haven’t made them I would save your money.

Props to you for sticking by your favor choice ๐Ÿ˜‰

People can love it or leave it ๐Ÿ™‚ If my friend was getting married, I’d take the coasters. Feet or no feet ๐Ÿ˜›

@SarahCF:  OP, I genuinely love them. The verse is lovely and I wouldn’t mind the personalization. I would use them in my home.

I wouldn’t use those because i see “feet” lol. I also dont like personalized items for display in my house. Just not my thing.

@SeaSalt:  +1

OP, I’m sorry, but I don’t think these are a good favor, for the reasons other posters have already mentioned.

@SarahCF:  Where did you get these done?

I would use them for every day use, but probably not when guests are around (because of the personalisation). I love the quote and I think they are a great favor!

I think favors are a waste of money in general unless they’re edible.  I also dislike personalized stuff so I would probably not take these home.

I’m sorry but no. I like edible favours. If I can’t eat it I don’t take it.
