I will never understand the “it doesn’t matter if your fiance likes it!” school of thought. Of course it matters. The ring is a symbol of both of you, so compromise is a good thing.
OP-that ring is beautiful and classic….if that’s REALLY what you want, TELL him! I made the mistake years ago about not getting the ring I really wanted because my dh (then boyfriend) didn’t like it. I have been kicking myself ever since and that was almost 10 years ago now. Just because I was trying to be nice to him…bottom line, you are the one who is going to be wearing it forever…you need to love it.
Mine is an antique ring from 1890 so it probably isn’t very helpful, but I so love posting pics of it, lol. 🙂
My ring is white gold around the diamonds, but yellow gold everywhere else. I love the contrast!
If the issue is the metal color you could tell him yellow goes better with your skin tone, if it does. Surely he would like something that looks good on you.
Yellow gold 1/2 carat round diamond in 1/2 diamond square halo. I love yellow gold!
Yes I agree with all above posts. Your style is your style. If that ring speaks to you get it don’t try to conform to what is trending even though I do believe yellow gold solitaires or even three stone rings are timeless.
