I always go to stores to buy chicken salad but ofcourse I don’t know their recipe but I would LOVE to be able to make my own. Do you have any good recipes? From what I DO know is that the chicken salad I like has mayonaise, and celery in it but that’s it.
Please share your chicken salad recipes!! Thank you so much!!

Ooh, I love a good warm chicken salad! What I do is make up a big salad that I like, I usually use celery, carrot, sweetcorn, bell peppers and lambs lettuce. Season with salt and pepper, dollop mayo into it and make sure everything has a good coating. I also use some herb mayo for flavours as well as fresh/dried herbs. Then do some chicken breast – I usually use leftover roast or baked chicken cut into strips. Throw it into a frying pan and stir fry it for a bit, when it’s done toss it onto the salad and enjoy!
I don’t know if warm chicken salads is common over in the USA but it’s really common to have it here!

ooh I have a great recipe for curry chicken salad! though if you don’t love curry, you could just leave out that seasoning and it would still be good! Just mix the curry powder and salt and pepper into the mayo, then mix all the ingredients together.
~ leftover chicken, torn up or diced (or 2 cooked boneless chicken breasts)
~ handful of seedless red grapes, halved
~ handful of slivered almonds, toasted
~ 1/4 cup of minced red onion
~ 2 celery ribs, sliced thin
~ 4 tbsp mayonnaise
~ 1 tbsp of curry powder
~ salt and pepper to taste

Chicken salad is whatever you make it. A real basic chicken salad I make has mayo, a bit of mustard (I like to use grey poupon, but I know some people don’t care for the flavor), diced up celery and a little S&P to taste. I like to add mustard – without it, it seems liek it missing something to me, but I love mustard!
Another version we like is the same mayo/mustard base, and chop up pecans or walnuts and apples. I usually add some tarragon herb to that one.
Chopped up bacon is good to add.
Another different one is to make a curried chicken salad. Mayo, curry powder and add raisins.
Chicken salad is very easy to make, and its something quick and simple to make with leftover chicken.

I like mine kind of basic. Chicken that I put either pull apart into little pieces or the food processor. Mayo, salt, pepper, celery, and walnuts…on a croissant. OH YUM! I just might have that for dinner tonight!

I buy chicken breast and cook it in the oven. Then I add: apples, celery, mayo, dill, salt and pepper and lemon juice. You can cut back on the mayo and substitute greek yogurt but make sure to keep it chill or else i find that it has a weird texture when it’s warmed up.
