you’re not nuts at all! and it means you will have a lot less to stress about when you do get engaged πŸ™‚

just be aware that dresses, etc may be discontinued by the time you are ready to purchase, but there are always other options out there πŸ™‚

and as long as your SO doesn’t mind all the planning, he may want to help in decision making πŸ™‚

@IreGal:  I don’t think you’re nuts at all – you know for a fact that he is going to propose soon so why not start thinking and searching for things now? We’re girls – we naturally love weddings cos they involve all of our fav things – shoes, dresses, pampering, gifts, flowers, jewellery, etc etc

@IreGal:  That’s really cute that you guys got back together after so many years apart, truly amazing. And If I knew my SO was buying the ring I’d be planning already also haha, wait I already am and I don’t even know LOL best of luck!

OK I’m totally in the advanced planning boat… but 2015 is WAYYYYY to far to be doing this. Soooo many things are going to change, dresses, styles, decor, even venues! I say knock yourself out looking but keep a very open mind.

@IreGal:  I’m not a patient person myself so I totally understand where you’re coming from! We have a ring and I am a planning fiend. It also doesn’t help that a good girlfriend of mine just got engaged so talking with her about planning makes me nuts too. πŸ˜‰ Welcome to the hive btw!

I don’t think you’re nuts. I’ve pretty much decided on what I want my custom made dress to look like and a few weeks back I did price out a venue or two… no deposits till the ring is on my finger though. That is my line, but I figure I can daydream as much as I want in the meantime.

pre-planning doesn’t hurt as long as you don’t book/buy anything that might have to change if your date needs to change/your SO has a different opinion on it
