If you’re having doubts – try on more dresses. It will either make you realize you really love yours, or make you more sure that you don’t.  At this point with POB closing, I bet theres a girl out there who wants your dress and couldn’t find a sample, so if you end up finding a dress you are SURE you love, you will probably be able to sell the POB pretty quickly.

One way to drecrease regret/doubts:  do up your hair and makeup and have a friend take really nice photos of you in it, in natural light.

Then any time you feel dress regret, look at your beautiful photos to reassure yourself.  Because that is a beautiful dress.

Maybe don’t look at it for a few days. I found that when my dress was around, I got sort of bored of it. Now it’s at the seamstress and I miss it! I also appreciate the pictures more, because it looks so much better on than on the hanger.

The dress is really beautiful, and I’m sure you look perfect in it. I totally understand where you’re coming from, but know that there will always be another dress, there will always be “what if’s”, try to ignore it.

Your dress is lovely and chic and unique. I went through the same feeling… I think there is  just so much pressure on a bride to ‘look her best’ and to wow everyone. I agree with PP’s — take a few days off, and then come back to it. Think about everything you love, and the same goes for everything you don’t love. I actually ended up selling my first dress and getting a new one because I could  not live with the things I no longer loved about the first dress, and I felt better for it. There have also been a lot of girls who decide that they were just having a panicked moment and suddenly they LOVE their first dress all over again and opt to keep it. The feeling will come to you. If you’re able to, try getting a picture of yourself in your dress with some makeup and the accents on and then see how you feel. You can always post to the thread and people can poll for you if you’re still unsure. My sentiments are that the polls will be in favor of ‘yes’!
