So latelly I’ve been a good girl and didn’t mention much on proposal to SO at all, except I mentioned stuff about wedding etc.. which to my surprise was recieved by SO very well and he showed interest 🙂
Now, in my free time (didn’t feel like working much) I have browsed the internet!
I looked for venues, compared prices – didn’t call any, just wanted to see what’s out there. Looked up decore etc… You know, the stuff that we usually do but very extensivly in a short period of time and the most wonderful thing happened:
I GOT OVERWHELMED!
I started panicking and realized that this craziness hasn’t started yet and since i know that my SO will propose sometime in the next 3-4 months, I was able to take a breath and can actually say that am enjoying this turtle slow waiting thing!
We spent the weekend, plainting the house, we have other projectes to do still and i can see how these projects would propably get pushed if we were engaged now because planning a wedding takes a lot of work! Specially if we are only going to be engaged for a year.
I had really no research prior to me looking up stuff so I really got scared LOL, so if anyone is in the same position I suggest same approach, as it mey actually ease the waiting time 🙂

- Wedding: September 2014 - Manhattan Church Rec Center
I kind of had the opposite reaction. I was Underwelmed. I have pre-planned everything to death. The only thing to pick out is the final dress & invites & Flowers at this point and that is something i don’t want to do . I feel like I have looked at everything already and even did a theoretical guest list!
I am just kind of…bored now…My Boyfriend or Best Friend says i have been feasting on Crazy Food for the last 3 mouths. Maybe i need to get away fromt he Bee for a bit…
But my mom…god bless her, has been awesomely bad for my addiction. She wants me to show her my pintrest and we discovered my dream dress is exactly like her wedding dress to my dad (lacy, flower child w/ off the shoulder cap sleeves), I vaugely remember getting into it when i was, like, 10! And my mom said the untilmate thing that made me get Anime-Girl eyes…she said i should try on her dress! SWEEEE. I told her i want to send it to be cleaned and try it on when My SO finally does pop the question. Most likely we will be using a lace from my mom’s dress to make my dress.
I <3 my mom for feeding into my addiction.
But, really, I am kind of done with all this pre-planning. At least until he proposes.

Awesome! Nothing wrong with pre-planning, but it’s so hard to see all the things you want, but can’t go ahead and book/buy/reserve because you aren’t engaged. I’m dealing with this with my dream venue–so worried it’s going to be booked up by the time I go to reserve it!
