I don’t think it’s weird.  If that date works for y’all, go for it!

if it works for you, go for it.

i personally wouldn’t want to.  what if something bad were to happen like divorce, i wouldn’t want those 2 dates to forever be shared.

I don’t think its weird.  If you’re totally cool with forever celebrating your anniversary and birthday at the same time then I say go for it.  I personally would prefer the distinction between the two events.

I’m getting married 1 week before my birthday! Honestly I wasnt thrilled about having the dates so close together, but really, it doesnt matter that much. I just told Fiance that we’d have to go away every year as a combined celebration trip XD

I don’t think its weird, more reason to celebrate!

But be sure to tell Fiance, he’s gotta get you a birthday gift AND an anniversary gift 😉 jks

jojomonster :  i don’t think it’s *weird*, but it’s not something i would want. it feels like either your birthday or your anniversary would kinda get the short end of the stick every year. but if you don’t care, that’s fine. our wedding was 2 days after DH’s 30th bday, which i was not keen on, but he totally didn’t care at all and in fact loved that the two events were so close together.

Well it is a bit weird, as your guests will come and congratulate you on both your birthday and your wedding, and some might even bring you birthdaygifts?

But if neither of you mind, go ahead, but I would never want to get engaged/married on my BD as all of these named occasions are a extra reason to celebrate (and get presents!!!) one extra day in all of the years to come, and I would not want to miss out a extra day of celebrating with the love of my life every single year from now 🙂

But good luck whatever you choose ❤️

Haha ops. I noticed some bees have given the exact same answer, and I second what a pp said about a divorce etc, you never know and maybe you would not want to be reminded on your birthday every year.

Not weird, but there will be times you will get a combined birthday/anniversary gift or celebration but if you’re cool with that, I don’t see a problem.

I wouldn’t just because I’m already born right on a hectic holiday and I wouldn’t want to add anymore chaos to that day.

I ended up having my 1st baby on my birthday! So I say go for it.

I wouldn’t….  It’s not that it’s weird but I would hate for my birthday to become birthday/anniversary and will no longer be “my day”. I also like the fact that we have a separate date to celebrate our wedding, celebrate “us”. I also can’t help but think what if you divorce…

I purposely chose the following week.  I didn’t want my birthday and anniversary to be on the same day.  Spread out the joy.  and god forbid we get divorced, I wouldn’t want that memory on my birthday.
