I had really long hair up until 2 weeks ago… then I chopped off like 10+ inches. I swear it feels like its growing like crazy now that its shorter vs how it grew at a snails pace when it was longer.

Shorter hair is also more maintenance & needs more regular snips! Blah! I feel you Joeswifey!

My hair grows really fast too.  When I get my bangs cut, they stay the length I want them for about two weeks.  🙁  I actually go to the salon in Wal-Mart to get my hair cut.  There is a lady there who does a fantastic job on my hair.  We kind of have a language barrier issue, but my hair comes out looking great everytime.  If I get a shampoo/cut/blowdry it is $25 with tip, and if I just get the cut with nothing else, its 12

I have the same problem!

I have blonde hair and like to have low lights and high lights put in but I have to do it REALLY naturally so that it doesn’t look horrible in 3 weeks!

I don’t mind that my nails grow really fast though;-)

Mine grows crazy fast too – so do my nails. I don’t take any supplements for it but I hate it…. I’d have to get my hair cut every single month to have it look good. It just drives me nuts. I keep it long-ish, but it gets all rangy and droopy once I go too long without a cut (and by too long, I mean a month!). I don’t know what to do either…. I also keep really short nails. But they grow back so fast, I have to cut and file them every single week to keep them short. Gr!

I get my hair done at the Butterfly Studio Salon in Manhattan, and they do free trims inbetween haircuts, as long as you go in every month or 6 weeks or so.

My hair grows pretty quickly too… I’m growing it a little longer for the wedding but Fiance is hoping I chop it off next month because it likes it above my shoulders. I guess I could and still will have it somewht long for the wedding next september…

I can totally relate. When I was making twice as much as I do now, I used to get manicures weekly and haircuts every 6 weeks.

Now I have to color every 5 weeks so to cut costs, I trim my own hair every other time I go to get color. I just can’t afford to pay upwards of $100 for color and cuts every 5 weeks.

It’s not that difficult if you’re haircut isn’t in need of being totally precise (like a straight bob) as long as you have really sharp scissors. I just trim the ends and put a few long layers in. My hairdresser has never noticed so I think it’s working out okay!
