I want a vintage look for my wedding. I’m afraid my faux-bangs are too flat. also, I have thin hair and a really big forehead. I decided if I really want some volume around my face, and get the 60’s look I want, I need real bangs. I called the salon and asked for their best person – the one they would recommend the highest for bangs.
see my inspiration photos below. and also see how flat my hair looked during the trial.
I will show her photos and have a consultation with her first. I might not do it. I might just get a trim and not let her touch my bangs. OMG, I am SO nervous! my wedding is less than 2 weeks away! what am I going to do? well, I will find out at my appointment at noon today!

OMG. Seriously, I tried to do this a few days ago and my stylist said no way! I plan to do a full updo for the wedding and she said, “No Ma’am!” Come in the day after and I’ll cut em for ya…but not before, miss thang!

Uh, yeah… I’ve been dying to have bangs cut and took the plunge about a month ago with the wedding in November. SOOOOO wish I hadn’t, but that’s just me! I’m now considering hair extensions.

I don’t have photos yet. but the stylist talked me into conservative bangs– about cheek length. I don’t exactly regret it, but I was underwhelmed with the results. now they’re too short to keep behind my ear (so a piece hangs down and looks scraggly). they look good when I let them loose, but they get in my eyes.
oh well, with tons of hairspray they stayed in place for the wedding. so as long as I was happy with how I looked that day, I am willing to be patient with the growing out period.
however, I’ll bet I could have kept them long and just had my stylist texture them to make them look thicker. I bet that would have improved them enough w/o taking off length.
I wish I had gone dramatic (eyebrow length) or kept them long. so learn from my mistake!
