@MissRuthie:  awesome! my SO was the same way – until he realised how hard it would be to find an antique stone in a brick and mortar store (impossible!) we would have had to troll antique shows and THAT was not on.

he purchased our diamond from an online vendor and was super happy with the experience! i hope it’s as seamless for you two  🙂

@MissRuthie:  My Fiance ordered my ring from James Allen, and I love it.  FI did his research and wanted GIA paperwork with the diamond, which they do.  I have had it resized a few times, and they’ve always been very helpful (and relatively quick, always less than the 2 weeks they say).  We will be ordering our wedding bands from James Allen, too.  I know my Fiance highly recommends them, and I would too!

Here’s my ring. It’s set in platinum.

My fiance bought a diamond through James Allen and it was gorgeous!  However, I decided to keep the one we got from Uniondiamond only because it was a better color and clarity than the James Allen one.  We returned the diamond to James Allen and had zero problems.  I would def recommend either of these companies.  However stay away from b2cjewels.com…they are a bit limited on the customer service.

I love James Allen and am all the way for online retailers when you have the proper knowledge in selecting a stone 🙂 Good luck to you!
