I finally broke down and sent my rings out to be resized. I’ve been avoiding it for so long but I can’t stand wearing silicone sizers and feeling them spin anymore! My engagement ring should be back Friday (we purchased it at a local fine jeweler and they apparently work quickly), but my wedding band won’t be back until the 25th (we purchased it from Kay, and I’m honestly not surprised that it will take so long). Both rings were supposed to be size 3.75, but when I took my engagement ring in Saturday to drop it off they measured it at a 4! I don’t know if it was because of a difference in the tools they used to measure it, because the appraisal has it listed as a 3.75, but if it truly was a 4 then it’s no wonder it was so loose! Coming back, both rings should be a 3.5 and will hopefully fit better.
In the meantime I’m wearing my silicone Enso rings and I’m going nuts. I’m super paranoid that my rings will be damaged during the resize process or I’ll get them back and they won’t be the same rings (side stones missing, etc). I probably have nothing to worry about but I’m freaking out regardless. I can’t wait to get them both back, but Friday cannot come soon enough!
