I didn’t think I would. I was over the planning and anticipation and ready for the big day…but now that it’s past, I remember all the little ideas I had here and there but never followed through on. I think once we get our photos, maybe it will be easier to relive the beautiful details we did have and just the overall joy we experienced that day…but in the meantime, I want to do it all again!

I have a suggestion that may help. I have made it before and some really liked it.
Now that you are married start planning a yearly party. Could be a summer bbq or a christmas cocktail party. Put some of the great details that you wanted for your wedding into your party. Send out invitations, do your decorations, and just have fun with it. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just make it your taste.
We do two bbqs every year that are fun great parties. The FH makes all the meat and does all the decorations hanging. I do the invitations, decorating, and the rest of the food. People usually bring side dishes, which is great. We have lanterns hanging from our big tree and a huge kiddy pool full of beer and drinks, again, alot of people will add to the beer and drink with their own. Every year we have done something slightly different and added to what we do. It has only gotten bigger every year and alot of people ask about them and talk about them months in advance.
This year, with the wedding, we are only having the one party. I already have totes full of stuff ready to pull out and I am almost as excited for the bbq and I am our wedding.

I agree, it’s good to put your mind on something else. We chose to buy a house and have a baby… which is a bit much. But at least I’m not thinking about wedding planning as much!

I think its totally natural. You just can’t let yourself get so wrapped up in it that you miss the now, and the start of this great new season in your life.
I know I’ve had alot of trouble getting motivated lately… since the Big Day. I think b/c I nearly melted my brain in DIY and trying to get everything done that my brain has shut down… lol
The adjusting time will pass and I’m sure you’ll get new ways to outlet that energy. 😉
