I would like to get a little cardigan to go with my dress. I’m getting married in April, and it might be a little chilly. I don’t want to do a shawl or pashmina, or a bolero… I think a cardigan would be really cute and kind of different.
I have NO idea what color to get… I dont want to do purple unless it’s the EXACT same color as my shoes… What color do you think I should do, and have you seen one online that you think would work?
My other wedding colors are different shades of mossy greens, and I think i’m going to incorporate silver and black as well.
Thank you for your help!
Not my exact dress, but pretty close:

A LITTLE bit purplier in real life:

I would go with purple or green and get one that is short. Here is a pic of my soon to be sister in laws card she wore with her dress. It looked really good!

You have a long time – I would work on finding one that matches the purple shoes. I think with a short dress were the shoes will be highly visible, having a different color cardigan isn’t really going to look right (unless you went with like a black, gray, or white one which wouldn’t really give the interest factor you seem to be going for).

I think that green cardigan similar to the one that Allyser posted would be adorable, it would also be great in purple….but it would probably be nice to break up the colors.

I love your dress. I love your shoes. I agree with tring to find a sweater that matches your shoes. You could also do a white sweater and try and find a big fantastic purple brooch?

What about a ballerina wrap cardigan, in soft cream hues made of wool?

I came across a satin purple jacket on ebay that has a cute vintage feel. I’m not sure if this out of the ballpark, but here’s the link. It’s listed as a bolero, but sure looks like it has a lot more coverage than most boleros I’ve seen. The seller has it in S-M-L.

I found one at old navy for $24.50 and couldn’t pass it up. I brought it home, and it was the EXACT same color as my shoes. It looks long in the picture, because it actually has cropped sleeves, so the bottom of the cardi ends right at my waist.

(I bought it in yellow, too!)

I love your cardigan! I got one too for my dress. Are you wearing it for the ceremony too or just the reception/some pictures?

@mandb122: I think I’m going to just wear it for some outside pictures, and during the reception. I’m getting married in April, so I’m assuming it will be a little chilly.
