We are going with a “love bird” theme with lots of vintage touches. So I need to pick out a favor to go with the theme….sigh… So far all I have been able to come up with is formed birdseed hanging thingies, but it is not ringing my bell for some reason.
I need 50 of them and I want to keep it around $2 each
Love you Bees!

We ended up doing these little birdhouses (see the link below) and we attached a small organza bag filled with birdseed to it. We are also putting the names and table numbers somewhere on them so they serve both as the favor and placecard. They were a little more than $2 though. It was $11 something for 4 birdhouses blus the cost of the organza bags and birdseed which was sooooo cheap. I think I got the organza bags for like 8 cents each and the birdseed was like $7 for a huge bag that we have tons left for our birds in our yard 🙂
Hope this helps.

If all else fails, everyone loves chocolate. My sister and her husband are into motorcycles, so they had a local chocolate shop make chocolate motorcycles. You could have chocolate lovebirds.

Why not do decorated love bird cookies? That could be really cute if you have them done by a professional bakery.

I think edible is always the way to go! And when you first said your theme was love birds, the Robin’s Egg candies popped into my head! You could order these in bulk from online somewhere and then put them in organza bags, little boxes, etc
The main one’s I’m familiar with are the Whoppers Robin Egg candies: http://www.candywarehouse.com/robinseggs.html
Branch’s also makes solid blue chocolate egg candies. And Hershey’s makes Candy Coated Milk Chocolate Eggs that are multi-colored.

Doesn’t go with the BIRD theme but it could go with the “Love” theme.
Chocolate hugs & kisses in tulle with a note that says “Hugs and Kisses from the New Mr. and Mrs.” and then you could have your names with the wedding date.

I really like heathaah & shaydenise ‘s ideas that play up the bird theme!
But you could always go with a gener-o edible favor in a box/bag with a tag on it giving the date of the wedding, your names & a little birdie graphic, which would tie it in as well.
