$1100 sounds like a lot for a wedding band to me but I guess it’s all relative, depends on what was spent on the e-ring.  I think it’s gorgeous and the set is wonderful.  I think a more intricate band would take away from the e-ring.

@MsGinkgo:  Agreed. Someone else just posted a similar ering with a twistyband a few days ago, and while it was sparkly, it was too much going on IMO, and it took the focus off her ering.

OP – Keep the single, simple, sparkly pretty band. It is a beautiful pairing of two elegant rings that look tastefully gorgeous together.

I think your set is gorgeous and your band complements the ering very nicely. I don’t think the price is that crazy for custom work with that much detailing.

I think it’s really pretty, but you have to love it!

@jujee:  Well, don’t go just on pictures & forum-goers alone … Maybe go try one on, then try on your band and see what you think. You will have to look at it each day, and may love it. But if you cant, at least you get a sense for how “busy” your finger may look, and how it might take away from your beautiful, gorgeous, sparkly ering.

I will have a beautiful ering when mine is done, and I do plan to cherish the sentiment & symbol of my wedding band to no end, but I will choose one that is simple and compliments but doesn’t compete with the fabulous ering my b/f is lovingly giving me through his hard work & sacrifice.

I think it’s perfect! Love the side detailing, and together they don’t take up to much of your finger.
