The only thing within my budget that I can think to get my future husband for his wedding gift is a sweet wallet. However, I have no idea where to get a simple, nice, black leather, bilfold wallet. Being that I am girl, I would really like to personalize the sh*t out of it with an embossed quote and maybe his full name (more than just a monogram!), but I know that I probably won’t find that as an option anywhere. I’ve looked on Etsy and haven’t been able to find exactly what I am looking for, so I was hoping there was some brand/store out there that was known for having timeless leather wallets that someone may know about. 🙂
Does anyone have any suggestions? My price range is up to $200.

Aw, maybe one little suggestion?

I got my Darling Husband a leather wallet from a department store as a grad present. It was a simple black leather bifold with a fold-out flap for his IDs. I put a note in one of the pockets for him to read. Only cost $50, and it was Fossil. I actually took a few up to the men’s department guy, and asked which brand to get, and he said Fossil without looking at them. And it wasn’t the most expensive one.

Now that I read your post again, I’m not sure what you want. A classic leather bifold wallet shouldn’t be hard to find, so I don’t know what you’re looking for. 🙂 Things Remembered has silver money clips that can be personalized if you want to spend a little more and personalize it.

My suggestion was going to be Fossil as well. But if you wanted something even a little nicer, maybe you could check out Nordstom or something?

How about Tumi? They’ve got some nice wallets, and I think they might fit the bill of what you’re looking for. (no pun intended)

I’m not sure the quality but Brookstone has personalized leather wallets within your budget.

Thanks for the suggestions! I guess high quality is my leading “must-have” for this wallet. Followed by the option to personalize it with more than just a monogram, but adding a note inside the wallet may just have to work. 🙂
I guess I felt just buying him something from the mall didn’t seem as heartfelt as getting a fancy European wallet or a wallet handmade by a craftsman in a shed in Arizona (though I suppose that really doesn’t make sense, now does it? lol).
In the end I really want to get hime something *meaningful* and I don’t think a wallet is that meaningful for him. But then I have no idea what to get him. I’m stuck! 🙂
