You say you won’t wear neutrogena, but ahve you tried the ultra-sheer dry touch line?  That’s way different from their normal sunscreen.  I wear it on my face everyday…it has no smell and feels more like moisturizer.

I second the ultra sheer dry neutrogena.  I also wear it (almost) everyday on my face and I love it!

Have you ever tried any of the Alba sunscreens?  They usually have a little bit more pleasant smell and I believe that they are organic.  They have one that’s green tea and one that’s lavendar. They have other scents as well… and I believe most of them (if not all) are both UVA and UVB protection.

I love their after sun lotion… it smells like coffee and it is supposed to help neutralize skin damage because of sun exposure.

They also have fragrance-free facial sunscreens.  I think the best thing would be to go to drugstore.com and read the reviews and see if it sounds like something you would like.  But, I’ve always like them and they don’t have that "typical" sunscreen smell.  And, they’re good for sensitive skin.

The other brand you may want to check out is Aveeno because they have some facial sunscreens for sensitive skin as well… which shouldn’t have any of the fragrance to it.  I’ve used theirs before (though I can’t find that particular product now online) that just smelled more like an oatmeal smell than a "sunscreen" smell.

I hope that helps! Good luck on the sunscreen search

Cetaphil has a new one out that is SPF 50.  I would try that, their products are so gentle!

I’m the same way you are and i love Neutragena Ultra Sheer! i use that during the whole summer! however for my face i do use Shisheido’s ultimate sun protection cream 55…very light and smells nice!  I haven’t tried the Clinique sunscreen though.

i hate sticky sunscreens and agree with above brides that i love neutrogena ultra sheer.  and i also agree with you that it makes me break out!  but not the one that doesn’t include helioplex.  before the helioplex (usually under spf 55) i was fine.  then i tried helioplex spf 55 and my skin did something weird like small bumps.  but when it goes in your eye it hurts.

shiseido, if you’re referring to the blue tube ones, i tried once and i think they sucked.

it’s almost impossible to find something that is not sunscreeny…unfortunately ultrasheer thing is the closest i’ve come…=(

BullFrog makes a great sunscreen, it has some kind of alcohol base and seems to evaporate all the stickiness away but leaves behind a nice protective barrier. I’ve used it mostly for skiing where sun can be pretty intense.

I love Sunban by Bliss. It’s spendy, but totally worth it. It goes on like a serum… nice and light, not sticky, and absorbs quickly.

I swear by Murad SPF 30 Waterproof Sunblock.  Neutrogena makes me break out too, but the Murad doesn’t.  It’s fairly light (feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen) and has a nice smell — not strong, but subtle and non-chemical.  At around $30 a tube it’s pretty pricey, but I’m pale as death and anything that stops sunburn without making me break out is worth a splurge for me.

I love the Colore Science Suncanny powder.  But I suppose that it’s really only realistic for smaller areas, like face, ears, and scalp.  But it is SO amazing for those areas – because it is a powder, it doesn’t make skin oily at all, it’s unscented, AND you can use it on your scalp without getting greasy hair in the process.
