I’m getting married 12/12/15 at Knowlton mansion in northeast Philly. My fiance is Jewish and I am Catholic, knowing that neither faith fully accepts our marriage we are having our wedding outside of the Church/Synagogue. Do any of you know of any good Rabbis and Priests that will work with another Rabbi/Priest in the Philly area? I saw, on the knot website, a duo that consistantly works together but can’t find them again. Thanks!!

As far as I know, no Catholic priest will perform a marriage ceremony outside a Catholic church. We tried to get one to do anything – even just a prayer and blessing – in a hotel ballroom and they refused. Good luck!

I’m not sure if they’ll travel to Philly, but it might be worth checking… I’m getting married just outside DC, and I’ve booked:
Good luck! 🙂

mcmals: I’m with PABride: As far as I know, a Catholic Priest is not allowed to preform a ceremony outside a Catholic church. A Rabbi is also not allowed to perform an interfaith marriage. However, unlike other religions, in judaism, you don’t need a rabbi to perform the ceremony. Anyone can do it. I have two religious friends getting married in a month and their rabbi was doing another wedding, so they are just having a friend perform the ceremony.
