Ok I normally hate when people respond with what I’m about to write, but I really think this will help you – search the “rings” portion of these boards.  People post pictures of their moissanite rings daily.  Tons and tons and tons of them!  🙂

And I never heard of them until this website…!

@Luv2BeachIt:  I have not either… I want one as a back up ring bc I am so hard on my hands and do not want to wear my e-ring to work(bartender) all the time. Maybe next tax season;)

Try to look into AMORA moissanite if you’re really concerned about the color. They treat it to make sure it’s all white, no hint of color in it at all. The website all of the bees seem to recommend is moissaniteco.com.

@Fabulousjadore1203:  Mine is YELLOW. like UGLY yellow. I can’t stand it. we were going to sell the diamond back after finding out there’s an option besides CZ and use the money for something else…future kids’ college tuition? Diamonds are such a rip off.

I got an UN-enchanced one from Moissanite.com (C&C) I’ve emailed them requesting a return/refund have to wait until after mother’s day madness to get a response. I just cannot believe they would sell something SO OBVIOUSLY yellow. I understand if it was slightly, but this thing is manufatured/grown, this is a quality that belongs in a national RECALL in my opinion.

Now my biggest problem is choosing MoissaniteCo.com’s AMORA vs. Moissanite.com (C&C)’s Forever Brilliant’s enchancement. This BTD forum has a LONG dicussion on it…basiclly saying AMORA is better http://betterthandiamond.com/discussion/ubbthreads.php/topics/716295/15

HERE’s a video of my unenchanced C&C moissanite 1.5ct 7.5mm in DIRECT SUNLIGHT, there is no color when it’s in this condition and really sparkles better than a diamond. but my fiance works indoor in an office with little natural light, it is yellow and unattactive. DON’T SETLLE for this crap.

Here’s the yellowness when it’s not in the sun, stands out even more next to the ring we wanted to reset:

I have a round, 1.25 carat amora moissy. I will say, most of the time it is absolutely white or slightly steely looking, especially indoors. However, moissanite is a very moody stone. Mine tends to reflect the color of the trees on a bright day and turn quite green. On overcast days it is a very warm, almost buttery shade. In certain kinds of lighting it lights up like a disco ball and sparkels a million beautiful colors. In fact…it changes so often I feel like I have different stones at times! But I do have to say, thats what I love about it. I got it for all of those reasons and if I could go back and buy it unenhanced so it would show even more color, I would. Although it doesn’t really seem like thats the kind of stone you’re looking for.. :/

Heres a few pictures to give you an idea of different lighting if it helps!

^How it looks reflecting the green in the trees.

^Overcast weather, much more yellow than usual.

^How it usually looks indoors.

I really can’t reccomend moissy to bee’s who don’t like the color, or want a very white, consistent stone. For some bee’s their moissanites are, but mine never has been. (But I love it!) Hope this helps!

My stone has a steely grey/teal tinge if its very cloudy and I stand near the trees. Other than that it’s clear and shiny with rainbow sparkles. I have an unenhanced stone.

@Anardana:  does your unenchanced stone look as yellow as mine? I’m just wondering if it’s a defective one

My moissanite is a .75 unenhanced stone and yes sometimes it can be warm (for some reason in my bathroom at night lol) but in my YELLOW bedroom and the rest of the time its really white, sometimes looks a little stealy…but I love it, I don’t except it to look like a diamond. Here is the ring the night I got it, in my yellow room with yellow lighting…Edit: I have actually had friends comment on how it looks super emposed…it hasn’t been touched in any possible WAY

@sapipa77: it’s not enhanced at all I dont believe. My jewler ordered it from the Charles and Cholvard site… Each moissy stone is different so if you get one you don’t like than I would exchange it for another one… They all have their own personality. I also heard that the older stock is way more yellow so maybe that’s what yours was. I love moissanite though and will never trade it for a diamond and I had that option.
