Ugh – it’s SO hard to find good boots! I wore out my last calf high boots that I’d bought from the UK – do you think I can find another pair? Nope. Wishing you good luck in the search though!

Try Nine West. They’re a bit pricey but last forever, are really comfortable and put elastic in the top of some of their zip up boots. I love mine.

I had the same problem! Have you tried on any Steve Madden boots? Those were the only ones that didn’t look like they were suffocating my calves. They don’t have a zipper, just a fairly wide top with an adjustable buckle.

I have super wide calves, and after trying on hundreds of boots (or what felt like hundreds!), I finally discovered that zippers just don’t work for me.  My calves are simply too wide.  I founds that boots that you pull on without zippers really work for wider calves.  Give those a try!

DSW does a great job of marking which boots are wide calf, which makes trying boots on in the store way easier! I’ve had good like with white mountain.  It is seriously so frustrating buying boots this time of year, but I know I should be thankful because there are sooo many more options now. Also try zappos.com or piperlime.com, they allow you to search by wide calf. Avenue.com has a great selection of wide calf boots and other wide width shoes too.  Happy hunting!!

I cannot get average WW knee boots to fit my calves, but the boots at Lane Bryant did fit.  Try those out!

I have some boots from DUO which are amazing! They do custom calf sizes! A little pricey, but great quality/fit and I got some awesome deals later in the season last year.

Just bought a pair of Vera Wang boots on sale at Khols on Saturday! They zip all the way up!! I was elated!! They are also super cute and not “cheap” looking.
