My mom wants to plan a bridal shower for the week before the wedding…I dont necessarily want a traditional games type shower, more of a female family get to know each other type thing…Im not super creative lol…but I also don’t want anything expensive, since my parents are paying also for the rehearsal dinner and such…any ideas from other seattle brides out there? My mom had brought up something like a comedy show/appetizer thing…Thanks in advance for any ideas :))

What about doing it at home and using a picnic/ tea party/ garden party theme.. here’s a fun bridal shower idea: http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/bridal-shower-ideas.html you can take the hat idea and do it for one of those themes.. the menu idea is simple and could make for a nice intimate casual atmosphere for your shower.

A comedy show sounds like you wouldn’t get much time to talk. How about brunch or lunch at a cafe? I haven’t lived in Seattle in a while so don’t have specific suggestions.

What about going wine tasting and everyone brings a snack or stop somewhere to go to lunch?

- Wedding: July 2010 - Catholic Church & The Engine Room at Georgetown Studios
How large? Queen Mary’s Tea Room is wonderful. I did a girls brunch there the week of the wedding- non-hosted, and eveyone found something in their price range.
