Hi fellow bees. I need your help. My future husband (Mr. C.) is completely wedding etiquette illiterate and doesn’t have a clue on any of the wedding traditions. So its up to me to take care of all little details like bridal party gifts.
I had some ideas on what to get the 3 guys and was looking at the bottle-top opener rings. I thought the idea was fun and appropriate for the guys. However, in an effort to become more health and spiritually conscience, Mr. C. has given up drinking all together. We are only having a champagne toast at the wedding and not having anything other than champagne and wine with dinner.
So I need ideas on what to get the guys that isn’t related to drinking. My initial thought was to get them all masculine cross necklaces to wear at the ceremony, but the best man isn’t that religious. So now I got nothin’.

photo frame that says the boys/ the gang.
we are doing fidora hats( part of wedding attire) 3or 5 cigars and then a possibly a beer stein….
you can do pocket knives as long as they arent flying in, engraved money clip, coffee cups, do u know what the guys like to do???
ei- one of our grooms men is AVID hunter so his beer stein if we go that route will have some sort of hunting theme.. one is a big time CARS/ ROaDSTER guy so that theme will be on his stien.
you can also give gift cards to resturants they like to go to
when are you giving the gifts… if its way before the wedding ( rehersal dinner is not the night before the wedding but a week of two out) you can buy golf gift cards for the guys so the guy can all go golfing the morning of the wedding or earlier)

My FH wants to give his groomsmen these personal pint glasses with their face on them. We are also getting them a tie for the wedding day and we are getting snacks and waters for the long weekend. The pictures are painted on the glass pints so I worry about the quality esp when its 30.00 a glass… what a waste it would be if they chip right away

@asianyoushi: Love the fedora idea. You’ll get some sweet pix!
What about buying their ties, depending on if they’d use them again/what they look like?

I think we’re giving our groomsmen flasks. 🙂

Fiance got cigar holders with monogrammed cigar cutters from pottery barn. The holder fits two, so he is gonna get a couple for each guy.

All of our groomsmen…and me for that matter love the movie Pulp Fiction, so we bought them all…*ahem* ‘Bad Mother Fucker’ leather wallets. I also designed a card to go inside the wallet that has the qoute from the bible that Jules says before he shoots someone.
We also found a metal beer bottle opener that is in the shape of a credit card and we engraved our groomsmens anniversaries and their wive’s birthdays on it so they’d never forget!

My Fiance got his boys a money clip with their favorit sports team and had them engraved. I think it’s pretty neat.
One of my old friends Husband got his boys a pair of the flip flops with the bottle opener on the bottom. They love them I never stop hearing about it. 🙂

How about a shaving set or a usefull key chain? You can engrave the keychain too.
@pigzfly: I really like the tie idea (even if it’s not for the wedding). You can engrave a gift box and give it to them.

Glad you like it 🙂
Amongst our friends, a lot are in a life stage where they don’t have to wear a tie every day, but definitely have a lot of occasions to wear them, for specific meetings and events and such. They’re kind of in a wardrobe amassing stage.
We got great prices on brand name ties at Winners and bought them for our second reception, for the best man (only man), fathers and my spouse. They had lots of matching ones, even!

@Hippos- love the credit card bottle opener with their big dates on it..how thoughtful, useful, and awesome! Where did you get them for my future gift giving dilemmas??
We only have a best man so it should be easy, but I think we are going the traditional route- a nice quality flask, mini bottles of his fav spirits, and a personalized pint glass with his name on it. We knew we wanted everything to be useful and since he is a “blue collar worker” ties and cuff links would go in a drawer and never bee seen again.

Darling Husband got his guys engraved Zippo lighters, ties, and some other things that I forget right now. He was totally in charge of that, and I didn’t see everything he bought for them. I think he also wrote them a note too, which I thought was a great gesture from a guy!
