Lol I probably would have done the same thing!  If your cat is anything like my old cat, that lizard will be dealt with.  Our cat used to love hunting lizards and other nasty critters.

This made me LOL. How big was the lizard? Like a big iguana size or like a little chameleon size? I understand getting a little creeped out by them, but locking yourself in your room? Makes me laugh, no offense!

Why don’t you grab a glass and a piece of paper and escort it outside with them (assuming its a smalle lizard) rather than allowing it free range of your house while you lock yourself in your bedroom!

@Girasole:  This made me say awe and lol…..can you yell out the window for some neighboor to help you? I hope you have a bathroom in there.  GL and I hope that bad lizard leaves you alone ;)))))))))))

Hahaha oh girl, I totally feel your pain. My dog used to catch birds and squirrels in the back yard ALL.THE.TIME. I would freak out and try to lock my dogs in the house so they wouldn’t go mess with the dead animals. It would be so bad sometimes because I would have to let them out but would be freaking the entire time about the dead birds.

Also, a mouse got into my house this winter. It went under the fireplace and my dogs were freaking out. One of ours, Charlie, was in front of that fireplace for a good three months just waiting for it to come out. I never saw it but that entire night I was on top of our table rocking back and forth like a child.

Ugh. So annoying.

HA!  If your cat is like my cat, when you open the door the cat will be sleeping, and the lizard unharmed.

OMG this is hilarious. We’ve never had lizards, but once a gigantic moth got in the house and my cat spent 20 minutes killing/playing with it. I was shouting “KILL IT AND EAT IT ALREADY!” Tongue Out

Hahaha! That is too funny. I would have put a bowl over it so it couldn’t escape or hide in my house – I’ve done this with giant wasps before and my Fiance just took care of it when he got home. For me, the worst would be wondering where it is… Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean the cat ate it…
