I am having trouble deciding what size wedding band to get. My e-ring is 2mm. I am choosing between a 2.5mm band and a 3mm band. I eventually want to get an anniversary band. That being said, the 3mm is uncomfortably thick when I have two of them on. So, if I got that one I would probably only get one. However, Fiance says it takes away from my center stone. What do you think bees??? These are not the matching bands, just what the store had for me to try on. Sorry the pics are big, it won’t let me edit them for some reason.
So the questions are:
1) one band or two?
2) If there’s only one band, 2.5 or 3mm?
Thank you for your help!

I agree that the two bands together take away from the center stone. I think both bands by themselves look lovely though!
On the other hand (no pun intended) it is YOUR ring so if you want a second band eventually, and like the look, then go for it!

If you plan on getting an anniversary band, I’d consider going smaller than 2.5, and definitely no bigger. I think the two 3mm bands really swallows your ering.

2.5 mm I think looks best. If you want to go with 2 bands definitely do the 2.5 mm so it’s not taking away from your big diamond 🙂

I LOVE the 3mm band with your e-ring. I can’t put my finger on why, but something about the proportions makes me happy.
I’m really not crazy about the look of two bands with your e-ring, regardless of band size. It gets swallowed up in the bling. If you’re set on getting an anniversary band at some point, then I would do a plain wedding band so your e-ring doesn’t get overwhelmed.

Thank you all for your opinions!
@pinkshoes: that’s what I’m leaning towards.
I looked at a plain band in the store and it looked really sad with my e-ring. There were 4 people standing around, including myself, and we all hated it. Good suggestion though!

I like the 2.5 mm single band. I think it does kind of take away from your e-ring in the pictures that have two bands.

I would go with a matching 2 mm band. I think it looks funny that the bands are not the same width.

@MrsCoachBtoBee: Aw shucks, lol. Out of curiosity, how wide is the band on your e-ring?

@JoJo Bananas: interesting!
I know, I wanted to see them because they’re cheaper too! lol. the e-ring is 2mm.

I like the 2.5 size SO much better with your ring. It just looks perfect 🙂 If you add another band I think that will work best also but I really like the 1 band look better so far.

I definitely think the 2.5 is the way to go, whether you get one or two bands, they both are beautiful so it’s your personal preference! But I like the 2.5mm, the 3 just seems too chunky to me.

one band, 2.5 mm. but I think less is more and I’m personally not into the two-band look, I think it’s too over the top.

Beautiful ring! I definitely think the One 2.5 mm is the way to go. It looks evenly proportioned to me (the ering and wedding band (if that makes any sense)). I personally don’t like the two bands together for the same reason of overpowering.

If the 3mm one is uncomfortable, then get the 2.5mm one.
