Hi bees! I have been trying to design my own invitations on Mixbook, and thought I had something along the lines of what I wanted. Well I got my second draft in the mail this weekend and I’m just not in love with them.
Here’s my dilemma, I would like to spend under $200 for everything (invites, RSVP, envelopes, and hopefully thank yous- I have separate monies for postage) but I haven’t found ANYTHING on Vistaprint, Mixbook, Weddingpaperdivas, etc. in my color scheme that I like. So I thought I would try to design them myself on Mixbook. While the printing and quality of paper is excellent, I just don’t have the eye for design and I feel like my color scheme is making it difficult to design something fun, while asthetically pleasing.
My color scheme is navy blue with subtle hints of pewter and blush pink. I started with a navy background and it’s overwhelming the invitation, even with a white scroll thingy in the center with the information in the middle of it. I did our names only in pink, but I can’t find a color that I even like on Mixbook for the pink, they’re all too bubblegum-ish.
Please give me any suggestions and contact info for people who do custom invitation suites that I could print and assemble myself (for a reasonable price). Thank you!!!!

I would check out printable press. http://www.printablepress.com/ They sell files that you can customize and print yourself. They will even set up the files to be submitted to catprint or any printer you choose.
I think it’s probably $114 for invite and rsvp.

Not sure if you have ever looked at etsy.com, but you might find someone there that makes invites you like. Here is one I found that is in Navy. Depedning on how many you need you might find a listing that fits your budget on etsy.

@louisianablue: Thank you!
@bubbly234: I’ve been searching Etsy and sent a seller a message but haven’t heard back. I’m going to have to spend some time doing more searching today. Thanks for the suggestion!

Had you seen any online that you liked but were too expensive?

@stefanieastronaut: Yes
I really LOVE this suite, but she wants $6.60 for each one, plus additional charges for designing the RSVP as a postcard and set-up fees.
