My fiancé and I are getting married in 2 weeks. I’ve pretty much done everything for the wedding, planning, DIY etc. I want to do somthing special for my mom and Future Mother-In-Law. Not sure what though, I’ve heard of brides splitting the bouquet and giving it to them, but my Future Mother-In-Law told me that, so that’s out. Any ideas???

The only thing that comes to mind as something they might find special and a surprise (and if you can change your ceremony at this point) is having a candle ceremony where each mom lights their own candle and then lights another one together to symbolize you and your partner coming together? You could let them know that morning, if you think they would be okay with that?

What is the budget for each mom? I might suggest a massage certificate or gift card to a favorite store. Something to allow a moment of pampering.

You could do a twist on that. My Aunt bought two bouquets and hid them on the alter. During the ceremony her and her husband gave one to their Future Mother-In-Law respectively.
My mom and Future Mother-In-Law will be lighting our unity candle. I want to do something else too, but I haven’t decided what yet. The flowers were done at each of my FSIL’s weddings so that kind of blows that for me…
ETA: I meant to say they were lighting the tapers for our unity candle… not the candle itself whoops!
