I really need your ladies help. Our venue provides medal brown folding chairs. Our wedding colors are baby blue and silver. We’re having white table cloths with baby blue runners. Now, Im on a budget. We have to pay for everything ourselves and we’re already getting low on the money.
I need a way to decorate the chairs, and I cant spend $200 on chair covers. We’re going to have around 100 chairs.
Does anybody have any ideas? Brown just clashes totally with the whole wedding colors. I cant rent chairs, too pricey. Please Please someone help me.

Other than chair covers, you probably won’t find something to get rid of the brown completely… My first thought was tying a little arrangement of some white an baby blue ribbon to the back of each chair?
Try not to sweat the small stuff though, it’s likely that no one at the wedding will notice/care about the colour of the chairs as much as you do! not trying to offend here, just know from experience 🙂

could you rent white folding chairs? we’re renting them for the ceremony and they are $1.00 a chair. If not, I don’t know how you could cover the whole chair without a chair cover. You could make those (Martha Stewart) tissue paper flowers/poms for the backs of the chairs.

I think you could do a sash…I think baby blue and brown actually look really nice together.

Sometimes I think we worry about the chairs too much. They are only visible before your guests sit down.
Here is an old post on the same subject:
If you sew you could make simple covers like a pillow case and just slide it over the back of the chair. You could buy these silver napkins, cut them in half, stitch the halves together leaving the finished edge on the bottom for about 60 cents per chair. They caome in many colors.
